For those of you who are unfamiliar with May 9th, that is the day that Victory was officially declared in Europe after WWII. Russia and all the Former Soviet Union countries usually do up grander-than-life celebrations. It is a HUGELY reverent time in which Veterans from any war are honored, and the fallen are remembered with parades, tributes, parties and what not. It is also a convenient time for the militaries to exhibit themselves in all their glamor. Take a look at the pictures the girls ended up with this year from our neck of the Steppe:

On another note, I finished Week 3 for my C25K Running Program yesterday, but due to serious air sucking issues, I've decided to go at this Sequence another few times. But I'm feeling pretty good. I can see some difference in my calves, and am hoping this toning works its way up through the all too "soft" thigh area. So the aerobic part is 20 minutes and I'm up to jogging 9 of them. I never thought I'd be there. All is good!
Until Next Time,
Your SteppeSister
